PREREGISTRATION is required. This will allow time for students to gather the necessary supplies and register with SKYPE, if you don't already have an account, if you already have a Skype account, please make sure it is the very latest version. 10 Students per class, 1st come, 1st served. I DO NOT need to have 10 students to do the class. If I only have one student, that is fine. In the event of a cancellation, your name will be put on a waiting list and you will be notified if there is an opening. Once you have registered, you will be sent an email with a list of the supplies and the tutorial to print in advance of class and confirmation that you have joined the class. Please allow me 24 hours to get back to you.
Once you register with Skype, email me with your Skype username, so I can add you to my list to add to the classroom the day of class. PLEASE do not wait until the day of class to send me your nickname. I need it up to 3 days in advance. I will send you a message on Skype to make sure we are connected, please reply upon receiving the message, that way I know for certain you are on the list. Make sure you have the most recent Skype.
CANCELLATION/REFUNDS If you chose to cancel your class registration, you will be refunded a portion of the class fee, less the cost of the tutorial you will already have, up to a 24 hours before class. If you do not cancel 24 hours previous to class, nor attend, this is NO refund. Once you have taken the class and attended, there are NO refunds.
DAY OF CLASS Please have EVERYTHING you need for the class and be ready. Up to 30 minutes BEFORE class, I will start to add the students to the 'Group Chat', you will get an invitation, please hit ACCEPT. Please be somewhat familiar with Skype before class, it will make things easier on the day of class.
CLASS TIMES I will do everything in my power to make a class lengthy enough so everyone has a good grasp of the finished piece. In most cases, you WILL NOT finish the piece. I will make sure everyone in the class is comfortable enough to carry on without me present. If you have any questions AFTER the class, drop me an email and we can converse that way, or schedule a time on Skype for the question/problem.
GUARANTEE My guarantee to you: You WILL have a finished product either during class or after. You WILL NOT be left high and dry to figure out anything by yourself.
PREREQUISITES Some classes may require you to know a basic stitch. You can either take one of my BASICS classes or learn on your own. I can send you links if you need them. If you learn on your own, please make sure you are adept at that particular stitch. Class time will not be a good setting to teach one particular student a basic stitch. Please read class description thoroughly!
OTHER QUESTIONS Please email me if I have neglected any thorough information, or if you have other questions not included on this FAQ sheet.
PERSONALLY SPEAKING Classes are held at my home. I have 3 dogs. I will do everything in my power to keep them quiet and take care of their needs BEFORE classes. I cannot control a knock on my door however. I will also take care of that in advance, as much as possible. My family will be notified that I will be holding a class, so they won't be an issue. If someone walks in the door however, you may hear some excitement, which will be promptly rectified by the person coming in. If a stranger knocks, you will hear 3 'alarm systems' :) I will post on my door: Come back later, Class in session, DO NOT knock. God forbid, it is a Police Emergency, personal or public, that I cannot control.
PRIVATE CLASS If you see something you would like to have taught and it isn't listed on the schedule, drop me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org and we can go over the details and the time and cost. I would be more than happy to accommodate anyone for any class at any time. If you want/need an odd hour for a class, I am perfectly willing to do that. I realize I have International customers, so if it is 2am here, but 6pm there and you want a class, I can do that. Don't hesitate to ask.
